Incoming exchange students are students who attend international partner institutions with whom Utah State University (USU) has an agreement to send and receive students. Incoming exchange students should first contact their home institution for eligibility requirements. NOTE: Exchange students are not seeking a degree at Utah State. If you are a student who wants to be admitted to a degree program at Utah State or if your university does not have an exchange agreement with the Utah State University Office of Study Abroad, please visit the Office of International Scholars and Students website, for more information about the application process.

Print and complete all pages of J-1 Student Visa Forms. (click link to download forms)

The following application pieces need to be mailed in hard copy to the Utah State University from your home university
- Official transcripts in English
- J-1 student visa forms, completed and signed (forms can also be downloaded on the online incoming student application form
- Original financial support documents
- TOEFL scores. Offical copies only. Institutional TOEFL will not be accepted

We must receive all completed documents in a timely manner so that you can apply for a student visa before your arrival at USU.
Application deadline for applicants for Fall or Academic Year: March 15th
Application deadline for Spring semester exchange: October 15th
