On-campus housing can be arranged through USU's Housing Services. To apply for housing, can submit an application through their website. These spaces fill quickly, so students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. International students will be able to move into their assigned rooms a few days the Saturday before orientation begins. Students staying in university housing must provide items such as sheets, pillowcases, pillows, blankets, towels, and room furnishings. These items can be purchased in Logan.
If you plan to come early or would like more information, call Housing Services at (435)797-3113.
NOTE:Exchange students with housing included in their benefits MUST apply for on-campus housing.
After arriving and settling into your housing at Utah State University you will need to check into the Office of International Students and Scholars(OISS), located in MIlitary Science Building, Room 115 (map). When you check in the OISS will make copies of your visa, passport, I-94 card, I-20 or DS-2019, and any other information they need for your file
For exchange students who do not have housing included in their benefits, may choose to live on-campus, or apply for off-campus housing at the following option:
Logan is located 85 miles north of Salt Lake City in a beautiful mountain valley (elevation 4,535 feet). We have four distinct seasons. Spring and fall are beautiful here with warm days and cool nights. Summer is a delightful time with hot days and warm evenings—perfect for outdoor activities. Winter is very cold. You can expect several snowstorms during winter months. Year round, rainfall averages 10-12 inches in Logan.
Because there are four seasons, you will need lightweight and heavyweight clothing. If you are arriving in December or January, consider bringing basic items such as a coat and sweater. All items of clothing you may require can be purchased in Logan.
Please contact the Study Abroad with any questions about arriving at Utah State University.
