How to Begin

  • Research program options.   Consider if you prefer a semester/academic year program or a short term or summer program.
  • Meet with a study abroad advisor.   Advising appointments can be scheduled by contacting Study Abroad at 797-0601 or studyabroad@usu.edu.  The study abroad Advisor can help you identify options that meet your interests and needs.
  • Complete the Study Abroad New Student Interest Form
  • Meet with your academic advisor to discuss your graduation plan and how study abroad courses may fit in.   If you have a list of courses from a study abroad institution, you can discuss with your academic advisor how those credits can transfer back to USU.
  • Read over the application instructions and complete the appropriate study abroad application by the application deadline.
