International Education Week 2017, November 11-17, 2017
The Office of Global Engagement at Utah State University and the International Student Council co-present International Education Week, starting Saturday, November 11 through Friday, November 17.
The International Student Council (ISC) is one of the primary international clubs under the Office of Global Engagement. The ISC is a student organization made up of representatives from different countries. Their primary purpose is to unite all international students, promote cultural diversity and international awareness that reinforces the interests and the welfare of the international students. Global Engagement is dedicated to helping international students and scholars engage in meaningful educational opportunities during their time at Utah State University as well as helping students experience the world through Study Abroad partnerships.
International Education Week events include Diwali, Around the World Night, Study Abroad Photo Contest, International Food Tasting, Keynote Speaker-Eduardo Hernandez Incháustegui, and Mr. and Miss International Pageant.
INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK EVENTS
Saturday 11 – Diwali, Indian Student Association
International Education Week will launch with Diwali, a fun night celebrating the Festival of Lights, with dinner provided with your ticket.

Monday 13 – Around the World Night
Games, fashion and food are featured from all over the globe.
Place: International Lounge, TSC
Time: 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Tuesday 14 – Study Abroad Photo Contest Winners
Study abroad alumni from fall 2016 to fall 2017 are encouraged to enter the photo contest, starting October 26. Find out how to enter here.

Wednesday 15 – International Food Tasting Social
Experience bite size tastes from around the world, brought to you by USU Catering. Enjoy music, food and good company

Thursday 16 – Keynote speaker, Eduardo A. Hernández Incháustegui
Eduardo Hernandez Incháustegui is the Vice-Consul and Chief of Staff of the Dominican Republic in New York, serving under the leadership of Consul General Carlos Castillo. His consular jurisdiction includes the states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut, which altogether represent an excess of 1 million Dominican nationals in the area, and the largest concentration of Dominicans outside of the country. In his role, Eduardo is responsible for overseeing consular operations and setting and executing the strategic agenda for the Consulate, focused on continuous improvement of consular services and protection of its nationals, bringing the consulate closer to the community and promoting trade and investment in the Dominican Republic.

Friday 17 – Mr. and Miss International
Men and women entered in the pageant will be judged on talent, presentation and how they represent their home country.
